@julian I should've mentioned you too in the post since you talk allot about fedi stuff and I'm pretty sure your instance is one of the bigger instances that's not microblogging
Indeed I also felt this was a bit much but then ago mastodon's focus doesn't seem to be on being lightweight.
NodeBB seems very interesting, probably not for this project but maybe for other things, does it support federation?

FWIW, I have been storing Linked Data (including ActivityPub) in an INI like format — because I find INI-like formats more human-friendly (to both read and write) than JSON.
YAML is probably better than JSON, too, in that respects. But I think INI-like formats are better than YAML.
#ActivityPub #ActivityStreams #JSONLD #LinkedData #RDF #YAML #YAMLLD
@Edent It should work. But of course, there is a possibility of some popular implementation not being able to handle it.
@Edent embrace the diversity. 😜
@Edent FEP-7628 is the only accurate spec. Move activity should be delivered to followers and have an ID (just like every other activity).
SWICG document is incomplete. SocialDocs website appears to be AI-generated.
Thanks, Evan! I honestly didn’t take it personally and there were some learning I needed that will just help me be a better fediverse community member. And thanks for the kind words and feedback! That’s mostly why I’m reaching out. The AP integration seems to be working okay, but I’m sure there are gaps I’m missing from a lack of knowledge.
what if you’re wrong?
He admitted to using my butt to write the original post, for some of his comments and for his code. Did you not read the whole thread?

In context, I was asking what if you’re wrong about there not being a human being behind this Trained MOLE, reading all these disproportionately negatie negative replies.
Did you not read the whole thread?
I certainly did, why did you think I got so incensed about it? But as I just said to you from my Mastodon account;
My apologies again for unloading on you with both barrels last night. I stand by my objection to the way Stanton was being dogpiled, but in hindsight I was just as merciless to you as I saw people being to him. Which was not only hypocritical, but not good de-escalation on my part, quite the opposite.
I’ve got some intense stuff going on of late, and struggling with sleep dep. But that’s my problem and my responsibility, not yours, or anyone else’s. I hope you can accept my apology.
In future I plan to restrict my online posting activities to mornings and afternoons, along with my caffeine intake, and improve my sleep hygiene. Working from my bed must stop.
I’m hoping that this will help me keep a cooler head, and avoid a repeat of this nasty posting behaviour on my part. If there’s anything else I can do to repair our relationship as fellow green-left activist and fediverse devs, please do let me know : )
A question about #ActivityPub account migration.
Is it possible to use it to combine multiple accounts into one?
That is, can I `movedTo` all my old accounts to one new account, and set *several* `alsoKnownAs` on my new account's actor?
@Edent yes
It’s fine. There are a couple of PieFed servers that used to be Lemmy.
If you manage to import the cryptographic keys of all users and the instance actor, then it shouldn't be an issue either way.
@julian I can read the outbox and activities 👍
There is a minor problem with Like activities, which don't have a to field (this means nobody should be able to see them).
And while we're at it: when NodeBB sends a signed GET request, does it add a Digest header? I see warnings in my log due to invalid header value.
Thanks again Evan! I think that is where my bad information came from and good to note. I’ve been lucky and really appreciate the support. If there is anything I can do to improve on my side, I’m all ears!
