a pitty you can never drive it again
A few weeks ago my friends dog ripped up the screen on my storm door.
Today I got replacement screen and installed it into the existing frame.
But it doesn’t work : the screen doesn’t show anything.
It’s hard to tell with these brightness settings but it’s showing you grass.
I just finished setting up my own Jellyfin server. Lately I’ve been getting into using open source software and this weekend I thought it would be nice to self host on an old thinkpad I had from my college days. There were a few roadblocks I encountered, but ultimately I got it working. Now with the Finamp/Jellyfin app I can have a Spotify/Netflix-like experience completely free (well minus the domain name cost). I highly recommend it if you have been thinking about doing it for a while like I was. I’m so glad we have open source software like Lemmy and Jellyfin available to us.
Thank you very much for that info :). I heard that some people had luck and others didn’t. Will try it out at some point. For Jellyfin I still prefer the VPS though so I don’t have to open a port.
Just wanted to say thanks for making me aware of pangolin. I got it up and running! This is so awesome, I can’t believe it exists.
This is made from PLA, which is plant-based and biodegradable.

The plant was in her brother’s apartment after he died in 1989 and she’s kept it as a memory of him since.
Full disclosure my daughter did most of the watering and spraying. So proud of her.
This is an amazing reply. Thank you!
That’s wonderful advice. Luckily my mom will be back Tuesday to take it back over. The spray she left is a mixture of water and peroxide, she said to help prevent fungus. It’s been a bit of a learning experience for us both because she moved from Texas to New England. The summer was so humid she basically never had to water it. But of course as soon as she left winter hit and the air dried up. There is a good chance I’ve overwatered it. I’ll hold off on doing anything else until she gets back.
i should have ironed it first so it laid flat, but it would have been troublesome regardless because it was rolling up so much. i think they cut the cloth really unevenly, and that may be why the hem stitches came out originally. i also may do a second pass on it later depending on my motivation
thought i’d share because i thought this scored pretty high on the boring/10 scale. my work isn’t great, but it’s punk so it’s fine
for those curious, here is the shirt in question. yeah, i’m a tanktop guy. i subject everyone to my hairy ass arms
The re-hemming belongs here - that tshirt seriously needs reposting to shirtsthatgohard@lemmy.world
haha, bit of a bait n switch, huh?
Part one was successfully cutting down two 42” doors to 30”. Part 2 was the custom face to fit in the space. Cabinet interior is part 3 set for tomorrow
Fail. My clamp was not enough, had to reglue and add pocket screws
‘Looks like a nice pile of upper body workout!
Enough to make a trebuchet.
in my ongoing quest to figure out how to add garlic to every meal
my garlic bagel has figured out how to properly complement my coffee (yes on its own). they are both bitter. they both are delicious. they both go well with hatred.
i knew breakfast was going to be my largest hurdle before dessert (no a tub of toum does not count as dessert we are civilized. we need two tubs).
you’re preaching to the choir here. i like to make my own vinaigrettes too
I was about to say, I think your secret recipe is a vinaigrette. I don’t use garlic powder in mine, but I might try it.
I sometimes substitute melted butter for the olive oil, and stir a teaspoon of sugar into it.
