Rebecca is awesome and the premise interesting and I like slow TV but the first season just didn’t capture. Surprised that it can stretch for so many seasons
I liked season 1 but thought season 2 was too. Too many high stakes storylines happening concurrently

Yea, the Orville was really one of my favorite spiritual successors to Star Trek. He dropped it to work on Ted and is now dropping ted.
I love sci-fi and wish he would go back to Orville, it’s always a shame when they spend a few seasons building out an interesting universe, get past the superficial stuff and have compelling and well developed characters and societies in which you can tell interesting stories and then go, “well this is getting pricey, fuck it”
Netflix would do well to look at it as an IP to purchase. It’d be it’s own alternative to Star Trek and build up it’s SciFi offering.
That’s why it is on my maybe watch in the future list rather than watch now. I don’t do multi season shows anymore, since they take too long between seasons.
Hazel Wassername is 30 Rock. Her character was so out of left field and didn’t fit with anything in the show. It made me not want to watch anything with Kristen Schaal in it for years.
I love The Office. That was the first “adult” comedy I ever watched, and I’ve probably seen it more than any other show. I adore it.
That said, the arc where Jim moves to Stamford is boring. None of the characters are good, and Jim’s relationship with Karen is just not gratifying after the arc they had just concluded.
The arc where Andy quits his job is far worse. He just loses the plot all of a sudden at the end of the show. Catherine Tate is amazing at playing Nellie, but the character is just simply infuriating after she takes over as manager. Which sucks because I loved the Sabre Store storyline, and I really think it may be one of the last compelling and funny arcs before the leadup to the finale.
Had you seen Flight of the Conchords before 30 Rock?
For what it is worth Mad Men takes off after S1, you kind of have to get through S1.
Season 2 has been great so far.
