So based on ER and long running TV shows, yeah more makes sense. The major problem with The Pitt, of which there are few, is that it has to cover a year worth of stories in one 15 hour shift.
You look at characters like Louie, it’s clear we’re meant to fall in love with him over a long period of time. I think they’ve done an excellent job with his story in the two seasons we’ve had, but his story is meant to be a slow burn, where 25+ episode seasons are happening.
Seems like they are testing the waters with the newest ep.
I figured they’d do one season focusing on the nightshift, but I’d definitely watch a spinoff.
