The flashbacks have flashbacks, and every few minutes there’s a flashback.
Yes, I can follow the plot. But this doesn’t mean I enjoy the constant flashbacks.
I’ll be honest I do have a hard time following the plot, and maybe those flashbacks on top of flashbacks are the problem.
I enjoyed the first half or so of season one, but found the ending confusing and not as good. I was surprised it was renewed, and was going to let the full season come out before I decided to give it a shot… But I caved and gave the first three episodes of the new season a watch.
The first two were great, but I definitely lost track that three years pass by at one point during the first episode. But for the third episode… I don’t really know what’s going on.
Had the same problem.
Other shows deal with this by adjusting the filter or background music during a flash ack
I have not started Season 2. Season 1 was a mess though and also loaded with flashbacks.
Paradise is an odd one there would be interesting episodes, really great episodes and holy shit really really terrible episodes.
“The Day” episode is just incredible, unfortunately the next episode was the season finale and it was utter shit.
I know folks who really struggle with flashbacks. Some shows are better at providing queues than others. It can be tough for some to enjoy as a result.
Are you liking and still watching the show in spite of it?
I stopped watching during the second episode of the second season.

I should have stopped watching it after the first few boring episodes of season 1.
