The picture in the article almost just looks like a screenshot of the game with how much Kratos looks like Kratos.
Huh… I don’t know what I expected. The picture is accurate to the game but it feels so uncanny. It looks like a guy and his son in the forest rather than a demigod in a fantast world.
I wish thry adapted the original triology
As always, it’s a wait and see. But it’s hard to shake the expectation set by The Last of Us (btw I didn’t watch S2) that while it mayl have high production value (perhaps that’s less of a guarantee with Amazon rather than HBO), but be less impactful than playing the game due to the compressed time we get to spend with the characters.
It’s nice the stories are more accessible through tv, but the games are still plenty cinematic, still have great performance from actors, just-as-good-or-better writing – I’ll wait for reviews, but thinking this will be a pretty easy skip for me, since I already have played the games.
The costumes look good, but the hair and expressions look just a bit off from what I’ve seen playing the games. And something about the image overall feels off/overly processed.
Kratos looks awesome, all the casting news about the show has been great. I am cautiously optimistic.
