@casualconversation if there's a dearth of jobs in the market, then that's the market's problem.
The human being shall always find plenty of work to do so long as he works for his own satisfaction and not for money.
Your thoughts on this please 😊😊😊

I try not to buy food in general. There’s so much extra food floating around we’d have to throw it away if we couldn’t give it away. And getting involved in your local mutual support network, helping it grow, gathering items and food that would otherwise go to waste and seeing it instead go to those who can use it, those who need it, is great for the ol’ satisfaction.
its societies problems. There is massive value in humanity that is not easy to get out as folks preoccupied with food and shelter and medicine will not be doing the things they are best at if it will not provide those things. In addition without being able to get as much education as they are inclined to get they cannot reach their best potential.
@casualconversation l've always known that time is an artificial construct ever since I was told to sit down to study. As l grew up, l saw mechanical clocks getting replaced by battery clocks. Until l realised that the clock is actually being run from a centralised node, no matter where you're located.
What l'm realising now is that, the calendar too is being constructed from a centralised network, whether it's the question of the World Cup or a war.
I just shared my rambling with you all.
What's your thoughts/perspective/observation on this ???
There is no centralized node. Time is relative and real. This is proven and basic knowledge.
@casualconversation this is funny 😳😳😳...........
When l'm looking at these posts from different servers, l'm seeing different comments every time........
From my lemmy account, l cannot see some of the comments..... From my brainbin account, l cannot see some..... Only my mastodon account is showing up all the comments in this post.......
And this is a piefed based group 🤔🤔🤔
@casualconversation this is regarding using WhatsApp wisely. It doesn't matter whether you're for WhatsApp or against. But as a user myself, l need to know how to prevent whatsapp messages from eating up a significant amount of storage space in my limited phone memory.
Any insightful suggestion please ??🙏🙏🙏
My dad was complaining about the storage space being full on his phone so I checked it. Turns out Whatsapp saves every single photo and video to your device. There should be a setting that makes it so that it downloads only if you choose so. Enable that setting and then delete all the pics and videos downloaded via Whatsapp.
Truly a garbage app. Annoying as hell, when it comes to storage.
Indeed, there is an option in the settings that will not download any media unless you authorize it. It also creates its own media gallery, which you can periodically delete photos from. In this regard it’s not much different from other messaging apps, but yeah absolutely tick that permission off. If you use it for work in group chats you are probably getting flooded with work related photos that aren’t even addressed to you, as it happened to me.
Another one you may find useful is removing the automatic backups to cloud. They pretty much brick your phone at 2am or whenever the hell it chooses to do it.
Oh. So does an mbin client have SMS too?
What is an aggregator?
@ScoffingLizard@lemmy.dbzer0.com It doesn’t. It was just a comparison.
And aggregator is something or someone that aggregates, that brings things together. The fediverse network is one, for example, as it brings together the several sites you see in users’ IDs, such as Divisions by Zero, The/Brain/Bin, Blåhaj Zone, Mastodon Social, etc.
@fediverse is there any platform in fediverse where individuals can join groups just like Facebook groups, and share media ??🤔🤔🤔
Dumb question, but I’ve been using Lemmy for over as year and have been to piefed web interface. I still don’t know what mbin is or how piefed is different that Lemmy. What is the difference? Piefed just looked the same as Lemmy but with more material in a browser.
Friendica is very clunky, but it’s nice.
Yes on Piefed those are called communities.
