Spaghetti & Meatballs

I didn’t use a recipe for this but this is how I made it this time.

Start cooking the pasta.

The meatball mix is about 14 cup of plain bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon parsley flakes, 12 teaspoon onion powder, 12 teaspoon garlic oowder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 12 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon worchestershire. Mix this with the ground beef and form into meatballs.

I wanted to test something so I rolled the meatballs in a small amount of panko and browned on two sides. The panko didnt stay crispy so you dont need to do it.

For the sauce I used a can of diced tomatoes and 3 ripe tomatoes. I blended the fresh tomatoes and half the can. I kept half the can diced for texture. Once the meatballs where browned on two sides(not fully cooked) I added the tomato. I added salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, sugar and red pepper flakes to the sauce.

I cooked this for about 15 minutes until done.

Have you ever tried using different ground meat? I love the straight forward recipe and meal.

I’ve made meatballs is with 5050 ground beef and ground pork. These always comeout very moist. For spaghetti and meatballs and Swedish meatballs. Though the Swedish meatballs have other ingredients like cream, breadcrumbs, diced onion and I think allspice.

For simple recipe it tasted good.
