i am thinking about getting a ugreen DH4300, however I don’t trust the company with their is so I am thinking about installing something like OMV on it. Has anyone here done that to this line of machines? I found no one saying anything about this online.

On another note. Currently I have a raspberry running my services. Would it even worth it to get that ugreen? Or should I just upgraded my pi with some hats or a DAS?

If that helps I just got a Aoostar WTR Pro (Ryzen version) to replace my NAS. But I had 2x 16GB RAM left so that was pretty cheap for a rather powerful home NAS. With 8c/16T abf two 2.5Gb NIC it’s powerful enough to replace a small hypervisor.

BUT careful, while it has quickswap slots the hardware itself doesn’t support it.

I tired watching but could never get into it. The swapping back and forth of timelines was done in such a way that I could never really get into either story line. I stopped watching at some point in season 1 when I realized I didn’t give a shit about any of the characters.

Watching my dog frolic in absolute joy at the dog park. It was only his 3rd time going and I have been apprehensive since these places can always be a mixed bag with whatever dogs/owners are there at the time.

He did prove to me though that his recall training works pretty well and hopefully we’ve gained each others trust. He really loves socializing and playing with other dogs and seems to know how to adapt to the play style of whatever hound he’s engaged with. Going to try and make it a weekly thing

In other words, can any user delete its data on its will and is there something that will remove its data from all the connected activitypub services? I believe this should actually be a basic feature and pretty much a requirement.

Anything you post on the internet is public knowledge forever. End of discussion. Most people won’t care at all, in most cases almost nobody or perhaps even literally nobody will ever even see it, but the harder you try to hide it, the more the Streisand Effect will magnify it until eventually everyone knows about it.

Anyone telling you they’ll delete your data from the internet without clarifying that it is in fact impossible, is at worst deliberately lying to you usually for their own benefit, and at best making a promise they literally have zero ability to keep.

I would hope that Fediverse services will never lie to you and tell you your data is deleted, because it can’t be.

I think not? Which is kind of a drawback to the fediverse. You gotta be careful what you post cause it’s probably gonna be somewhere forever.
