I really like well rounded shows that actually finish strong. So 3 seasons would be great.
The elevator scene was annoying for the time waste. Seriously, stop hugging her. Move! But it (or something similar) was necessary so that Dylan, his mom, and X would connect. So I get it.
I knew they would try to bring Jane back into things. The gun was in the ground. I told my partner that if Gabriela doesn’t pick it up now and make sure she is dead, then Jane will be back. Ugh.
I’m sure Alex has a reason for Jane, but I really dislike her character.
You know, I’ve noticed some pretty heavy genre shifts. I’m not against them, but they can sometimes be quite jarring. Westworld was pretty jarring. Some less so, like Dark (which I didn’t mind at all) or maybe Lost. I don’t think it’s inherently bad, I think it can be disappointing sometimes when you expect it to be one way and then it shifts hard.
Honestly, when Alex was revealed, I was disappointed. I really live scifi, but some tropes are tiring and overused. I’m really really really hoping this my butt is actually benevolent because I’m exhausted by the malevolent super computers…
The flashbacks have flashbacks, and every few minutes there’s a flashback.
Yes, I can follow the plot. But this doesn’t mean I enjoy the constant flashbacks.
I stopped watching during the second episode of the second season.

I should have stopped watching it after the first few boring episodes of season 1.
I get it. So what is/was next on the watchlist for you? Liking something else currently?
So darn cute! Thanks for sharing
I plan to scale horizontally with all those old PCs that won’t run windows 11.
@julian love that you're channeling this into optimism for software breakthroughs—that linux boot time memory is such a perfect example of the magic that can happen.
What’s the y axis? No idea what “interest” means
Probably correlated to search volume on Google, with 100% being the max on the chart 🤷
Debian Project Leader Andreas Tille has addressed the ongoing debate over age-verification laws and their potential impact on free software operating systems. Long story short: he clarified that Debian has not adopted a position and is awaiting legal analysis.
In his latest “Bits from the DPL” message, Tille stated that the main question is whether operating systems and package distribution mechanisms might be required to provide age-related information to applications.
He noted that Debian and other projects are discussing the issue, and that Software in the Public Interest, a non-profit corporation founded to act as a fiscal sponsor for organizations that develop open-source software and hardware, has begun seeking legal guidance.
There is no law that governs Linux development related to this, enywhere else. There is only a law in CA that requires this functionality (which would break any and all software infrastructure). Why would any maintainer of any Linux distribution, not actively dependent on following an untested law (from a legal PoV), even consider implementing it? This got a lot of headlines, because it’s absurd and stupid.
If maintainers wanted to comply, what the fuck would it actually entail? 99% of operating system doesn’t have any specific human users to identify. The only reasonable approach is to ignore it. If data centers in CA for Azure, AWS, GCP, or any other, wants to comply with this (which is impossible), either spend some of that tax free revenue to combat Meta’s suspected 2 billion USD effort in getting these online ID laws pushed through.
The TL;DR stopped when the line ended, there is a reason if they put more space between one line and the other

tldr:
flatpak - good
linux people arguing over other ways to package and distribute - bad
least they can do
no, no, no
least would be 0
I am outputting ActivityPub/ActivityStreams content for the listing of what is in a directory.
Think of it as the AP/AS version of output from the `ls` command
AP/AS has a whole bunch of stuff that can be used to represents files. Even sub-types of files
https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#object-types
And, while AP/AS has 'Collection' (and 'CollectionPage') —
https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-collection
AP/AS doesn't have a 'Directory' type (as a sub-type of 'Collection')
#ActivityPub #ActivityStreams #FediDev #FediDevs #Federation
Yes, I am creating a high performance read-only HTTP server for static files — that has built-in support for ActivityPub/ActivityStreams.
It also supports (the read operations of) WebDAV. So, it can be used as a shared read-only drive in operating-systems (OSes) that support WebDAV.
This might be a misunderstanding.
Any property in ActivityPub can have multiple properties [except the few marked as 'functional'].
It does not need a special subtype.
If we have type ['CollectionPage', 'Collection', 'wd:Q201456'], it is a directory in a directory (?)
We have these nested structures in fedigeo anywhere, for example the UNESCO World Heritage or IATA Collection etc. We use wikidata (the data of wikipedia) so that anyone can use the label and infos for "directory" in any language …
