Until he answers the question, I’d say take assumptions with a grain of salt.
But the “pro-theater” mindset is, by definition, anti-consumer. Christopher Nolan says similar things, but he gets less shit for it because he’s not remaking Pocahontas for the third time or whatever James Cameron’s done since he’s last made a good movie. Which is still more movies than I’ve made, but still, saying we need to step in mostly-dried Coca-Cola with popcorn stuck in it to sit in uncomfortable seats with people talking and doom scrolling all around us to watch a movie on a big screen after being blasted with half an hour of ads to enjoy their movies… Fuck them and their dystopia.
I peraonally prefer the more gritty and grounded world of Daredevil and they is destroyed as soon as people in colorful underwear show up.
Part of the weirdness just comes from every story taking place in New York. It’s comic accurate, but it makes things awkward. Additionally some of these stories have too high of stakes.
Look at Thunderbolts, without spoiling anything, the residents of New York, including Daredevil, should have a strong opinion about what happened.
Or look at Wilson Fisk as Mayor having major issues with vigilantism. It’s odd if Spider-Man isn’t involved in that story.
Maybe we can get our heroes traveling a little more.
“there’s a million ways to f**k that up”
Still did.
I was told the series was supposed to be cannon with the game, but how can that be when no one’s talking about the orbital death laser that goes off every day? And what ever happened to Fisto? It’s these little details that really pull you out of the show.
And some people just like to complain and would find a reason to pick it apart even if it was absolutely perfect
So it looks like this has a relatively small connection to Killing Eve. Different creative team and just a single character crossover when they were much younger. Seems like it might be a case of repurposing another script and trying to attach “Killing Eve” to it.
The plot also loosely looks similar to the recently premiered show “Ponies”, although perhaps this is leaning a little bit more serious. (Although 70s/80s Cold War is a common storyline.)
Doesn’t mean it can’t be good, but it doesn’t shout quality.
That man has a red right hand.
I can’t wait!! Brb gonna rewatch Peaky Blinders now
Not again…..
McKenna Grace? As Daphne?? On Netflix??? No waaaay!
I love Scooby-Doo! They roll up, sweep away the fogs of mysticism and superstition, to reveal a capitalist in a latex mask terrorizing the locals. Based
Oh man.. ALS.. OMFG.. This—— The true intent of this statement is so hard to say in text, but I am so happy for them that they only lived with ALS for a Year. I would kill myself immediately upon being diagnosed with that disease. I am happy for their release.
Terrible news.
Like many my first exposure to Eric Dane was as “McSteamy” on Grey’s Anatomy. He played the man you love to hate, but you always knew he was a good guy. His death on the show was probably one of the hardest of any character, and a lot of people die on Grey’s Anatomy. His death marked the end of the golden era for that show and he played the part expertly.
Years later I was surprised when he appeared on Euphoria. Again, such a great character in a complex show. While the focus of the show is the younger generation, among the older adults his character really stood out.
I really thought we had many more years.
RIP Eric Dane.
Six days
Hold up, there was a season 9?! Or have they tech-bro’d it and jumped straight from 8 to 10?
This guy who is obsessed with blue aliens? Tell him we’re not interested in his opinion unless he wants to start making good movies again.
Who would have thought this mail order DVD company would one day take over hollywood. Weird times indeed.
Season 3 really needs to over deliver to make up for some of the stupid moves they made in season 2, and I’m not sold on this trailer alone.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has me believing that this franchise can be good if they just make the right decisions, but I don’t know how likely HotD is to learn from its prior missteps.
