Am i doing something wrong here with duplicati?

Duplicati never completes a back up to ANY service. I set up the back up, then click run, and it will upload for maybe 3-4 minutes, then it just.. stops. I have tried with large backups, and again with smaller backups. Does it work for anyone else? I have tried different cloud storage services, such as filen and google drive, and it just never finishes. Am i doing something wrong here?

TIA

Try duplicacy. It is not that expensive and it works.

Borgmatic

You can self host the Borg server on another server if you have one (or a friends) and then borgbase offers very good paid backup storage

Cheers for the lengthy explanation!

Lol. Truth Social using Mastodon seems so ironic.

  1. Your server is your algorithm. That’s what the local feed is for. If you pick a server that caters to your interest, then the local feed becomes a potent discovery tool. That’s even more true for non-English communities because English language content is probably going to drown out everything else on the all/global feed

Check against Can I Use, all of the APIs, except for the following are supported by major browsers: - Synchronous Clipboard API only Safari has full support, the rest have partial - Temporal only currently supported in Chrome and Firefox

Was a bit embarrassed when showing a prototype using Temporal last month and the provided computer’s Chrome turned out not recent enough to support it, so for this one API I’ll wait for one more year before considering it ready.

Jesus, this headline is horribly deceptive.

When you regret a thing without any further qualifiers, it means you regret the creation or execution of that thing.

yeah thinking of some of the ppl ive met on the internet, id rather be talking to a bot lol…

but i think finding out after the fact that i was interacting with a bot somehow seems soulless… like, something i like about the internet is the (small) feeling of still being connected to the world. and that’d be lost if i knew i was interacting with a bot. i imagine there’s people who feel differently, but i think that’s nuts. if im interacting with a bot, i want to know it.

also like, in responding to you, i hope to further some intelligent discussion and positively affect the world. if you’re a bot, then that’s hopeless. or maybe im just affecting the algorithm positively, idk.

Hey 👋 creator of storyden here! it’s a labour of love that started long before “vibecode” was a word, almost 4 years ago now! I do use some language-model tooling now, but not anywhere close to blind-push-to-prod “vibe coding” :)
