Doing my best not to contribute
They get me on mobile (forced ad views on their app), but not on desktop (Firefox/uBlock).
Aww shit… Been waiting for this…
I’m glad it wasn’t just me. Huge fan of his classics all the way to Kids on the Slope. Couldn’t make it thru 2 episodes of Lazarus.
Oh I saw Watanabe’s name and assumed it was a refresh of the anime
sources say Paul Walter Hauser has been offered the role of “Scooby’s original owner.”
Damn, I think he’d be perfect for Velma.
Secondly,
For die-hard Scooby fans, this character description is a massive hint that Appelbaum and Rosenberg are digging deep into the franchise’s lore
Anyone have any deep Scooby lore they want to share? I do my best to dig into Marvel, DC, Star Wars, ASOIAF, etc but Scooby? I’m just not familiar.
So we got two SNLs. Safe bet both will suck. Thanks. /s
There are certainly a few good young performers in the UK cast. However, it will be interesting to see how it translates over here. They will be on BSKYB which doesn’t traditionally have big viewership numbers, definitely not in the realms of the BBC or ITV. I will say The UK is rather panel show heavy so it will be nice to see some other type of comedy show.
Speaking of panel shows, They have knocked it out the park with the US version of Have I Got News for You. Their casting choices for host and team captains has been inspired.
Insane this is on season 5
Man I wish the newsroom ran longer
I’m excited to see how they adapt the second and third book. Every time the humans’ awareness about the universe jumps an order of magnitude, so does the feeling of despair and dread. It’s like On The Beach on a cosmological scale
Big shocker that a big company is cutting costs. If they are longer episodes, then I retract this statement.
Little kids..
I am amazed it took this long. Tinker Bell was huge with all the little girls when my kid was in elementary school. I was surprised by hugely popular the character was.
I think Strange New Worlds found its feet and has a good thing going. I hope Starfleet Academy will as well.
SNW didn’t find its footing, it was good from the start IMO. It’s touchy-feely but in a less banal way.
Honestly all I needed for the internet was Red Dragon Inn. Once that went away, what’s the point.
Yeah but the glass-half-full take is that on !sumo@lemmy.world now we do have more interaction than before.
That’s what I understood from your earlier comment. Good on you for helping to get that rolling, mate.
Somewhat similarly maybe, I’ve been trying to revive !outofcontextcomics@lemmy.world lately, and someone else started posting with aplomb, the past couple days. :D
