That’s literally the best and fairest way to deal with that kind of stuff here. No risky permissivity, no manhunts / withchunts, no putting the onus on other people. db0 as an instance is weird for a lot of thigs, but honestly, compared to the rest of the world, not on that.

Israel ideology was always Zionism and their policies was always the publicity of settler colonialism so until Israel stop acting like Nazis and end occupation I can’t support that state and anybody who whitewash it.

Again I said that feddit mods are allowing people defending the ideology and not just people talking about it from an historical standpoint

The history of the colonization of Palestine by zionists started in 1948 and not the bullshit of the conflict being several centuries old like Trump try to portray . Palestinians didn’t have a problem with jews they has a problem with the zionists plan to occupy them

This comes from an israeli source

In 1884 the first Yemenites settled in Silwan and for 45 years lived peacefully and on very good terms with their Arab neighbors. It seemed that the people of Silwan, which was known to be a poor village, found common ground with the poor Jewish Yemenites that lived among them.

Despite the attempt to depict the 1929 Arab Riot as a violent incident against the Jews in Silwan, it is clear that it was not the case. From a letter of gratitude that the Yemenite Jews sent to their Arab neighbors, we can learn about the devotion and benevolence that the Arabs have shown towards the Yemenites by undauntedly protecting them, and also about the amity and good neighborly relations that prevailed between the two communities.

You know you can just have multiple accounts on multiple instances, right? That gets you just about as full a view on the Fediverse as you might want. Heck, the only reason I’m not doing it is because I’m lazy.

Also, whining about db0 then moving to the instance that literally implements CCP politics and shadow profiling and comes from a dev known to have had a chip against heteronormativity and weirdness (if not against neurodivergence) is… not the win you think it is.

Counterpoints:

If you want to know a bit more about Rimu, the main Piefed dev, he made an interview a couple of months ago: https://tubefree.org/w/jLPZXv1Jynv7LRcuoteARf

He’s usually quite nice and helpful. That’s not always the case with people who try to spread disinformation about Piefed.

So it looks like this has a relatively small connection to Killing Eve. Different creative team and just a single character crossover when they were much younger. Seems like it might be a case of repurposing another script and trying to attach “Killing Eve” to it.

The plot also loosely looks similar to the recently premiered show “Ponies”, although perhaps this is leaning a little bit more serious. (Although 70s/80s Cold War is a common storyline.)

Doesn’t mean it can’t be good, but it doesn’t shout quality.

Linux Begins Seeing Early Preparations For PCIe 7.0

https://toast.ooo/u/cm0002 posted on Feb 20, 2026 20:20

While we are on the horizon of seeing PCI Express 6.0 devices, there are already early Linux kernel patches beginning to surface for PCI Express 7.0.

The PCI-SIG officially released the PCIe 7.0 specification i nmid-2025. PCI Express 7.0 doubles the raw data rate to 128 GT/s to allow for 512GB/s bi-directional communication in a PCIe 7.0 x16 configuration. PCIe 7.0 retains backwards compatibility with prior PCIe revisions, offers power efficiency improvements, and other enhancements.

I believe the PCI-e revisions are usually used in datacenters before home computers, and of course Linux is really big for datacenters…

but also this could be preparations for 2028 or even 2029 hardware, datacenters especially need this stuff to be really stable so it’s gotta be done in advance

TBF all hate towards China is justified. I used to think they were a tolerable evil, but they’ve been using their influence help elect people like Donald Trump, propping up Russia economically during the war, commitring genocides in Xinjiang and Tibet, the hostile millitant occupation of Hong Kong, and supporting dictatorships in Iran, Cuba, Indonesia, etc.

Last night was a frigid, totally clear sky night and the northern lights forecast said low solar activity. So I pointed our IP camera north and bashed out a few scripts to record continuously and create a long-exposure star trail photo, hoping to have a really clean star trail. Yes, I have nothing better to do at night…

Turns out, we did get northern lights - and some light pillars too. So technically my clean star trail is ruined. But the image still looks cool.

At least that gave me an opportunity to make a timelapse video of the northern lights with the source images I used for the star trail, which you can see here:
