tech illiterate people always bought Apple
I love the idea but would never personally go back to a separate music player. The extra cost and inconvenience of having to charge and carry a separate device just doesn’t seem appealing versus sticking all my flac files on an SD card in my phone.
This one helped me too, especially on the special user/group mappings for lsio containers. That’s a trick.
There’s the usual flurry of last minute fixes and other items being herded into the Linux 7.0 codebase today right ahead of the merge window being closed with the imminent Linux 7.0-rc1 release. Among that last minute work is now recognizing Stephen Rothwell’s contributions to creating and maintaining Linux-Next over the past eighteen years.
Stephen Rothwell stepped down in mid-January from maintaining Linux-Next. He still plans to be around the Linux kernel community but a less grueling role than creating and maintaining Linux-Next since 2008.
“I hate when a drink separates, and the mixer just sits on the bottom, and then you get a big glob of it at the end. That’s what happened in that thorium mai tai I made last week. But I think in this case it might be worth it, because the cocktail would have a cool glowing color—especially if we went somewhere with a black light. I have an idea: When we take it from Iran, let’s drop a shot glass full of uranium into a pint glass of beer and chug it.” At press time, Hegseth was said to have concluded that the radioactive substance made a decent chaser.
Nope — I’m too hot, it’s Summer here. (South America.) My feet are slightly swollen, they always get this way when it’s too hot for too many consecutive days; I don’t feel in the mood to do anything serious; my sleep schedule went haywire; so goes on.
On the lighter side of the things I prepared some homemade strawberry ice cream and it rocks!
Lots of nightmares from my new medication, and some random panic attacks, hoping soon it settles down.
For everyone questioning if I watched the correct ‘Pluribus’ Or saying I should rewatch the 2-episodes (then I had only watched), because I had key elements of the 1st episode wrong…
…1st. FINALLY, my friend was able to get ‘Pluribus’ episodes 1st-6th on his ‘Plex’, we share our ‘Plex’s (SP?), (PRIME quickly removed the first episode from free to watch, cannot afford subscription),
2nd. After rewatching 1st episode, you were right. Thank you, for brin it to my attention.
3rd. I will stick with everything else I have posted, especially >>>>>I am tired of the individualistic BLANK in our entertainment, when really if honestly look at our country, let alone most countries (especially Capitalist & Caucasian dominated countries), individualism is the problem & is manipulated by The Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners for their benefits.
Look at The Canada & Scandinavian Countries, where just being respectful, understanding & Etc. working together for the betterment of their lives, thanks to appreciating their shared experiences, from the good & bad happening all around them. Result better countries & people living in them. Thought of saying this now, they are of course not perfect as nothing is perfect, even the best country Denmark is not perfect. Of course I agree the people, in the above, are almost entirely Caucasian & thus that are not Caucasian & already there are treated a lot worse (like Canada’s Indigenous peoples) & those non-Caucasian people trying to get in have go through tons of Capitalist dominated EU countries that try make as hard as possible to get through.<<<<<
Anyone here have experience self-hosting Stoat?
After a few evenings banging my head against the keyboard I finally have Revolt and Livekit self-hosted!
It’s largely all working through the official stoat-for-web that I’m hosting, but something really simple is preventing me inviting my friends along to try it…
I’ve set the backend to invite-only and added an invite code to the database… But I can’t for the life of me figure out how the devs intend for invites to actually work beyond the backend?
Any good workarounds, besides opening up the floodgates…?
Only the webUI works out of the box, if you want the phone app you need to compile it yourself.
Damn, that’s a nonstarter for anyone non-technical
It’s non-starter for technical, too.
You have to ship client updates to all your users.
I check on my plants today. They are alive and well and don’t need more water. I promised to get the Aloe Vera a bigger pot, because a baby sprout appeared a while ago. I apologized and apologized for not having done it yet, but they just aren’t having any of it and giving me the silent treatment!
Seriously, the Aloe Vera is my baby and it moved two different places with me. The only living thing I’m capable of caring for long-term and I still fuck it up 😭
How’s your cat? :)
You should have all kinds of options on Lemmy… You can edit a post and change it to whatever you like. Or delete it and optionally post a new one…

Thank you, I’ll delete and report.
If they kill off Hughie I’m gonna fucking riot.
